First Petal [Video/action for New Bark Town]

[There's a bit of a clatter when the video turns on, and the view is a bit skewed; a sideways shot of the very same house all non-Rockets wake up in. A pair of black and red boots can be seen pacing back and forth, their owner reaching down and grabbing a few other things that had spilled from their bag, along with the 'gear.]

Miss, I don't-- [The owner of the fear - a young girl it seems - halts as "Mom" continues to drone on with her usual spiel, a slight whine in her voice as she impatiently bounces on the balls of her feet.]

Miss, I really don't think you-- I mean, I really appreciate this, I guess!! But you're not really... [Sigh. She's not really listening is she? Guess she has no choice...]

[The words rush out all in one breath, and with a flurry of footsteps, the girl is gone.

... Without her Pokegear.

Luckily, a moment later a Houndour appears, grabbing the device in its mouth and running off. The camera jostles around a bit but stops soon enough, with the girl - dressed all in red and black, wrapped in a hooded red cape, and black hair cut short - finally in full view.]

What- yikes!

[She jumps back, shock on her face and a small bit of fear in her eyes. After a moment, though, she leans a little closer.]

You... you're not a Grimm, are you?

[A muffled bark comes from the Houndour holding the gear, and it's only then that the girl notices the device and quickly grabs it. After giving it a quick once-over to determine what exactly it is, she turns it in what she hopes is the right direction...!]

Uh... mayday, mayday! SOS! Some other distress call! .... Help? Geez, I don't know what I should be saying here...

[FOCUS. Okay. Breathe in, breathe out.]

T-This is Ruby Rose, leader of Team RWBY, and I have no idea where I am! This, uh... this isn't Vale, is it?

[As her adrenaline starts to fade, Ruby's shoulders slump.]

I... I gotta get back. Like, right now! There are a whole lot of people that need help...

How strong do you have to be? I wanna make sure everyone will be okay before I try this out!

Let's see...if I remember right, Violet Gyms strongest Pokemon is at around level 35 or so? You can check the levels of all your Pokemon with your watch! Right now, you should be around level 5...but don't worry, you get there fast! If you work hard at it, you usually gain around 5 levels a week!

Whoa... they're that strong? Are all the leaders that strong, or are they even stronger?

They get stronger as you go. But you can usually keep up with it, if you train hard enough. It's kinda easy! Especially if you play to their types. For example, in Violet Gym, the Gym leader uses all Flying-types? So if you use types that have an advantage over those, it's a lot easier! There's a whole big type chart, but a lot of them are common sense, like Water beats Fire, and Electric beats Water...hang on, I'll show you!

[Well, that pop-up looks helpful!]

See? It makes sense, right? For Flying, rocks knock birds out of the sky, or they can get hit by lightning! And they fly south for the winter, so, they don't like the cold! That's the kind of way you gotta think about it. Some of them are more complicated, though, like, y'know, Dark...

[Ruby tilts her head a little as she scans the chart. It's a lot to take in, but... huh. Seems simple enough. There is one thing she has to snort at, though...]

Dragons are weak against fairies? Can't say I was expecting something like that...

You're darn right they are. Dragon-type moves can't even touch Fairy-types. It's pretty funny to see, honestly...they're pretty awesome! And the types they're weak to are pretty uncommon too...I think Fairies are some of the strongest ones, for sure. Of course, I'm partial to Fire, too...

How does that work, though??

[She's just... laughing at the thought. SORRY ANNA...]

Fairies are so tiny! Like that one... the little one with the flower? That's a fairy, right? How do they stand up to giant dragons??

Well, magic always beats the dragons in fairy tales, right? Besides, size isn't everything. They may be really tiny, but their moves are super strong! Like Moonblast, and Dazzling Gleam...if you underestimate them, you'll be sorry, really!

Oh, true, true...

[Ruby nods along to Anna's explanation, then smiles.]

Si are they hard to find?? I gotta get one!

I don't think they're too difficult to come across. Look for one that seems kinda like a big fluffball of cotton candy, or a cute pink bird that smells like perfume! You should be able to find those relatively early in. My favorite one is pretty tough to come across, though! Let me show you, let me show you!

Still, if nothing else, the Clefairy certainly loves the attention as Anna holds it up right by the screen. Notice me, senpai. ]

This is Noel, a Clefairy! Clefairy's my favorite Pokemon ever! ...Well, if I had to pick one, anyway. Don't exactly want any of my other ones to get jealous or anything...A-and this one is special, because it's colored differently from most Clefairy! It's what they call a Shiny Pokemon. Normally, it's a darker shade of pink, and the green ears are brown...

[Sorry for your eardrums, Anna, because Ruby lets out such a loud squeal when she sees the clefairy.]

Ohmygosh!!! It's so cute! Where can I find one?????

Unfortunately, they can be pretty hard to find unless you hop over to Kanto, but, sometimes you can get pretty lucky and find people on the network offering Cleffa eggs? Those are what you should be looking for! Imagine this, but smaller and cuter!

It gets even smaller???

[Oh gosh Ruby is gunna die of cute! It's too much!]

So.. you must've been here for a long time, huh? It sounds like you know a whole lot about how this place works.

Nearly two years now, just about. It'd probably be weird if I didn't know the ups and downs, all things considered.

You say that as if it's some kind of a chore. It's a lot of fun, I promise! Like, there are so many awesome things and people here...

I don't mean it like that, exactly but... aren't you worried about stuff back home? Even if that time thing means nothing will happen?

Mm, not exactly. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm homesick sometimes, but Arendelle's pretty peaceful and quiet, for the most part. And my sister is here with me, and she's pretty much the most important person in my life, always has been, so it's not like I'm away from her, y'know? I miss my kingdom and all, and if Elsa wasn't here, I'd definitely miss it a lot more, but, I've spent so long in that darn castle of mine never seeing anything or doing anything, so, I want to see everything there is to offer in this place...the time thing helps a lot, too, because it means I'm not, y'know, leaving my people princess-less or anything.

...Oh, right, I'm the princess. Prooobably should have mentioned that earlier? But I don't usually like to bring it up, just because, y'know, I don't really like people treating me different 'cause I'm royalty. While I'm here, my sister and I can just be, y'know, normal, so, it's pretty nice, honestly. Only one person's allowed to call me Princess, so, just Anna's fine, still!

But yeah, I'm pretty comfortable here. In fact, I'd be pretty darn sad if I had to go home anytime soon, honestly. I'd, um, really miss all my friends, and my girlfriend, and all my Pokemon...

Oh, I know how you feel! My big sister's here, and I know that if she wasn't, this place would be a lot less bearable. There's just something about sisters, y'know? They help make everything better!
